The Gross-metering system is a simple roof top system installed on a domestic home / Institute / hospital roofs, it generates Electricity and directly export it to the utility as per ESCOM Guidelines and standards , Whereby ESCOM will sign an agreement for 25years and make the payment as per agreed Power Purchase agreement with individual/ Institute / Hospital roof owners.
The net-metering system is a simple roof top system installed on Commercial establishments / Factories / Ware houses etc., The generated Electricity will be self-consumed and excess energy can be pumped back to utility ESCOM, The ESCOM will make deduct the energy consumed and for excess energy they make the payment as per agreed power purchase agreement for 25 years - ESCOM Guide lines. It differs state to state utilities.
